About the client
Godfrey Phillips India
Godfrey Phillips India is one of India's largest FMCG conglomerates, distributing multiple franchise brands through a shared field-sales and modern trade network that spans hundreds of thousands of retail outlets across the country. Outlet-level execution and financial controls are central to how the business operates at this scale.
The business challenge
Three brands. One network. One source of truth.
GPI distributes three franchise brands through one shared field-sales and outlet network. The platform needed to hold all of it in one place: outlet orders, live field activity, merchandising compliance, and payout controls, with every report filterable by brand. Three brands, one network, one source of truth.
The payout layer added a separate layer of compliance complexity. Outlets must complete KYC, pass bank account verification through the company's ERP, and clear a five-level regional approval chain before any disbursement reaches finance, with a full audit trail at every stage.
What Triazine Software built
One platform. Field ops, orders and payouts.
Triazine Software built GPI's modern trade platform across web and mobile — GPS-verified field operations, multi-brand order management with Head Office visibility, and a five-level payout workflow with a full audit trail.
GPS-verified field operations
Field Agents log attendance and outlet check-ins through a mobile app that verifies GPS coordinates against each outlet's registered location. A Force check-in path handles poor-signal situations, with those exceptions flagged separately for Area Managers. Audit question sets are configured per outlet, with photo evidence captured during visits for contracted visibility and competitor checks.
- GPS verification of every check-in against the outlet's registered location
- Force check-in path for poor-signal situations, flagged separately for Area Managers
- Per-outlet audit question sets configured to the outlet, not one-size-fits-all
- Photo evidence captured during visits for contracted visibility and competitor checks
Multi-brand order management and Head Office visibility
Order booking and delivery confirmation run from the same interface. Head Office gets month-to-date reports filterable by brand, region, state, and town across all three franchises. The platform has delivered 566,195 orders at a 99.7% fulfilment rate since go-live.
- One interface for order booking and delivery confirmation
- Month-to-date reporting filterable by brand, region, state and town
- All three franchises reported from the same system of record
A five-level payout workflow with a full audit trail
Each payout clears five named approval levels, from KYC submission through bank verification to a CSV handoff to finance. Every approval is logged with approver identity, timestamp, and comments. A configurable auto-approval timeout keeps payouts moving when regional roles change.
- Five named approval levels from KYC submission through bank verification to finance handoff
- Every approval logged with approver identity, timestamp and comments
- Auto-approval timeout — configurable, so regional restructuring does not stall payments
Business outcomes
Outlets live. Orders fulfilled. Payouts verified.
Verified outcomes only — platform metrics from continuous production since 2022.
◈For operations and visibility
GPI's modern trade operations now run on a single system of record shared by every role in the network, from Field Agents logging outlet visits to the finance team receiving verified payout files. Head Office has real-time visibility into order, delivery, and merchandising status across all three brands and every region, with reports filterable by brand, state, and town. That visibility did not exist before in one place.
◎For payout compliance and scale
The payout workflow went from an ad-hoc process to a compliance-grade pipeline with a documented audit trail at every stage. Outlet bank details are verified before any disbursement moves, every approval is logged against a named individual, and the auto-approval timeout means regional restructuring does not stall payments. The platform has absorbed the client's own growth, more outlets, more regions, more users, without a change in architecture.
